Harmony of the Seas cruise ship
Harmony of the Seas the largest passenger ship in the world owned by Royal Caribbean commenced her maiden voyage in May 2016. She is the largest of the world’s six biggest cruise ships, with engines enhanced by ABB TPL-C turbochargers. These vessels are also equipped with ABB Azipods.
The TPL-C is a proven work horse for four stroke medium-speed diesel and gas engines. It is designed to handle extreme and demanding operations including HFO, high altitudes and high inlet temperatures.
There are currently 3,200 TPL-C turbochargers onboard ships around the world.
